      Tables and charts provide technical data for assistance in evaluating non-metallic enclosures and selecting the materials used with Stahlin enclosures accessories are available in pdf format by clicking the link to Stahlin's Technical information on this page to the right.

      Additional considerations for inclusion in the fiberglass enclosure specification are:

    • The resin system shall be pigmented gray unless otherwise specified.

    • The resin system shall include a flame retardant to obtain a flammability rating which meets UL 94-5V

    • The heat distortion temperature shall be at least 350°F.

    • Standard cover screws shall be stainless steel or stainless steel with fiberglass encapsulated heads. Other hardware items such as hinges and latches shall be stainless steel or fiberglass construction.

    • Back panels shall be fabricated of high quality, marine grade aluminum. Back panels are also available in painted carbon steel, stainless steel and fiberglass. Enclosures will be provided with back panel mounting provisions where possible.

    • External mounting feet shall be molded or securely attached to the enclosures to provide a corrosion resistant surface mounting system.
